Do Something and Make a Difference

In the wake of last week’s tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, every parent is left wondering what they CAN do. At times like these it is so easy to feel insignificant and unable to make any difference in this world of ours, but it is precisely these times when we must act, no matter how small it may be.

In this episode, Julie and I look at what we felt on that day and the 4 things we’ve decided we CAN do.

Places You Can Help

TheMentoringProject.org - The Mentoring Project (TMP) is an advocacy and training organization that serves as a liaison between faith communities and matching agencies to provide mentors for fatherless youth. Through dynamic church trainings, national mentor recruitment, and the creation of sustainable mentoring communities, The Mentoring Project seeks to rewrite the story of the fatherless generation.

HopeMob.org - HopeMob is exactly what it sounds like – a mob of people bringing hope. Just as Flash Mobs dance and bring spontaneous joy and laughter, HopeMob will bring caring strangers together to create sudden, yet organized relief and hope all over the world! We see a need and swarm it! Together…we are POWERFUL!
